Tiger Town Tavern
Tiger Town Tavern began in 1977 as a pool hall / beer only tavern in the one story portion of the building that it still occupies today. In 1982, TTT expanded into the first floor of the two story portion of the building. The two story portion of the building that TTT occupies is the oldest still standing building in Clemson. In 1983, the second story portion of the building was incorporated into the company and became known as Top of the Tavern.
In 1991, Tiger Town Tavern purchased these buildings and began a major remodeling project. In 1994, a full service kitchen and full service bar were added along with interior renovations. 1995 saw Top of the Tavern become the first private club to open for members and their guests in downtown Clemson. This enabled Top of the Tavern to open its door 7 days a week and remain open until 2:00AM each evening.
